Launch of NEW Golf Biodynamics (GBD) Software - Available NOW!!

Rob Neal has now released his new GBD software after two years of development.  There are a number of key advantages for the user as well as the PGA Professional and player who access the software.  One touch reporting means instantaneous report generation.  Also, the addition of an extra (fifth) sensor on the upper arm now provides specific informaton regarding the connection of the arms to the trunk. If you are interested in viewing the new software or you have any specific enquiries please direct these to Rob Neal.  The platform is excellent and is a major progression from the old software - it now allows ease of interpretation for the PGA Professional who is familiar with video.  In the future displays of video, force platform and launch monitor data will be viewed on the same screen and in real time - this is the DIRECTION FOR THE FUTURE IN COACHING.

2 Sensor Biofeedback System Development - Release in 2010

Rob Neal is currently developing a new 2 sensor GBD system that will provide true 6 degrees of freedom measurement.  The major advantage in day to day work for the PGA Professionals will be the biofeedback ability for body segments in translation and rotation. Existing products that have been marketed as 3D have only measured rotations NOT TRANSLATIONS - so this is a major advantage for those involved in technique or motor skill development in the golf swing.  If you would like more details about this exciting development that will be very reasonably priced, please contact Karen Harrison (VP Marketing for GBD).

Stewart Corstorphine (London), Nicole Steinmann-Gartenmann (Zurich) and Beng Siong Er (Singapore) convened very successful seminars to a range of PGA Professsionals and Allied Health Staff during November.  Special thanks need to go to Mark Bull, Stewart Corstorhpine and Jim Christine for the organisation of their private clients for testing in London.  Garry Malia and Paul Dougan (GBD Zurich - Swiss Golf Performance Lab) provided the TGA/GBD staff with a wonderful experience in Zurich - at the Golf Club Bubikon.  Thank you also to Claudia Strassle (Pilates Instructor) and the club's staff/owners for their wonderful hospitality.  We look forward to returning to Zurich in 2010 - for more details please contact either Garry or Paul at the Swiss Golf Performance Lab at Golf Club Bubikon.  Phil Brew and his chief organiser (and wife), Josephine from Tigerline Golf at National service Resort and Country Club in Singapore deserve a vote of thanks for their organisation of the PGA Professionals' seminar and the junior academy testing during the visit.  If you are interested in attending seminars or being involved in private testing in 2010 in Singapore please contact Beng Siong the local GBD licensee/TGA seminar in Singpore or contact Phil Brew (private client testing at NSRCC).

Rob Neal, Karen Harrison and Michael Dalgleish have all be invited to be on the Editorial Board of the soon to be launched Journal of Applied Golf Research.  Friend and professional colleague Daniel Parks (President and Owner of 3D Golf Labs, Inc. in the USA) is the journal's Editor in Chief.  If you are interested in receiving this journal for your professional library then please don't hesitate to contact Dan Parks.  We look forward with interest to this exciting development in 2010.

Level II Long Term Player Development Seminar for UKPGA

Michael Dalgleish and Kelvin Giles (Long Term Athletic Development Consultant) have been invited to create a Level II, hands on LTPD seminar for the UKPGA.  The seminar may be run in late 2010, and the PGA Professionals will be invited to bring a player and one or more member of their support team along.  The "team" will then complete a physical competence test, create the graphs/reports from the testing and then formulate a specific exercise programme for their golfer.  If you are interested in a Long Term Player Development seminar in your area or would like to be notified when the next TGA and Movement Dynamics seminar will be run then please contact us.

If you have any news from around the database that you think might be of interest to the members then please don't hesitate to contact TGA and we will look to publish your news or ideas.

Yours in better golfing,

Michael Dalgleish, Rob Neal and the TGA Team
