Long Term Athletic Development Specialist, Kelvin Giles from Movement Dynamics will be presenting a hands on seminar with Michael Dalgleish that investigates the theory and practice of accurate movement assessment and exercise prescription for all levels, handicaps, ages and genders of golfers seen in daily practice - in the clinic or on the range. One component will look at a selection of the TESTS BEHIND THE TPI 12 TEST PROTOCOL - and how to make your assessments more spedific and thus accelerate the technical improvement of your golfers. For all those PGA Professionals, Allied Health practitioners and TGA Team Members who attended seminars, assisted with convening or were involved in testing - the TGA Directors and Staff would like to thank you all for their input and the contributions made during the recent trip to the USA and Europe. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the PARTICIPANTS who attended at venues around the world in 2008. The fantastic testimonials provided by participants provided affirmation that the content of both the Level I and now the new Case Study driven content in the Level II is meeting and exceeding the expectation of the participants. 2009 Seminars - Sweden, Germany, Denmark, England and Australia
At this point in time, discussions are continuing regarding the running of seminars in late 2009 in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Surrey, Manchester, Brisbane and Melbourne. New GBD Licensees in Singapore, Swizerland and Melbourne for 2009
Rob Neal has just completed purchase, installation and training for three significant additions to the Golf Biodynamics Licensee holders around the globe. The TGA and GBD staff would like to welcome Beng Siong Er (the TGA seminar convenor and Physiotherapist) from Singapore, Bill McTigue and Steve Ajzenman from Melbourne (Physiotherapists from MGolf and Convenors of for the TGA Level I & II seminars) and Paul Dougan and Garry Malia from Zurich (PGA Professionals and TGA/GBD hosts) to the GBD family and the TGA Team. These individuals will be providing state of the art 3D kinematic assessment and biofeedback services to their local markets. TGA Blog - the Tiger Woods' knee injury Topic
A number of members have proffered their opinions regarding the likely timeframe for return and implications on performance that Tiger's anterior cruciate reconstruction might have in 2009. Michael has now added some more salient information regarding the chronology of his knee trauma and the associated pathology Tiger incurred prior to his eventual reconstruction.
