Dec 14, 2008 - TGA Certification - Post Level I & II Seminar completion - WATCH OUT ITS COMING SOON!!
The Directors have, after six months of examination of feedback from the TGA database and TGA seminar participants, decided to embark on the Certification Process for TGA members after the successful completion of both the Level I and II seminars.
The process will involve the following key criteria that will need to completed as part of the assessment:
- A case study examination - similar to the process undertaken in the case studies in Level II - PGA Professionals and Allied Health staff will have to examine 3D and video information on a golfer and then complete a series of investigations including: isolation of the key technical issues in the video, confirmation or otherwise of key issues gleaned from the 3D data, the key technical drill interventions, the possible biofeedback drills based on the 3D numbers, the more indepth clinical assessments and intervention possibilities and finally the priorities for long term athletic development
- Observation and participation in non core professional work - each student will be expected to spend 20 hours of time with a PGA Professional on the range (for allied health staff members) or in the physiotherapy (physical therapy) clinic or the training environment with an Athletic Development Specialist (for PGA Professionals)
- A review of a recent research or published journal article as agreed by the Director or Examiners - the outline of how this is to be done and the level of detail will be provided to each of the participants - this will also vary slightly for PGA Professionals versus Allied Health Staff
