Jan 19, 2010 - Rate of Stretch and Rate of Recoil in the Golf Swing - November 2008
GBD and TGA Directors at The World Golf Fitness Summit November 2008 - New Material on Rate of Stretch and Rate of Recoil in the Golf Swing
Dr Rob Neal and Michael Dalgleish presented their paper on Rates of Stretch and Rates of Recoil and the Implications for Training at the WGFS on Friday afternoon, 17th October 2008. The paper provided a new insight into another important component of the power source of the golf swing, in addition to the concept of X-factor (and X-Factor Stretch). High levels of RoS and RoR characterise the longer hitters and many of the quality ball strikers on the leading tours around the World. The Golf Athlete and Golf Biodynamics would like to thank Greg Rose, Dave Phillips and the Titleist Performance Institute for their support and their kind invitation to speak at the 3rd World Golf Fitness Summit in Anaheim, California. We are sure that the Summit was a resounding success and great opportunity to promote the benefits of physical development in the accelerated technique change for all levels of golfers. All who attended are looking forward to WGFS 2010 and the information it is likely to provide to all those who attend from the fitness, physical therapy and coaching industries around the globe.
