Dec 13, 2008 - Manchester TGA Seminar Level I with John Watson
In October John Watson hosted Michael, Rob, Karen and Stewart Corstorphine for the first Level I seminar ever run in Manchester. John, his lovely wife Lydia and their two daughters provided fantastic hospitality for the TGA entourage after they arrived from their commitments at the 3rd World Golf Fitness Summit in Anaheim, California.
A small but very enthusiastic group of physiotherapists (predominantly) participated in a dynamic two days of education regarding nomenclature, biomechanics in the golf swing, common swing characteristics, epidemiology, common screening tests for the clinic and the range and an overview of long term athletic development and exercise prescription theory.

A number of the local physiotherapists cemented quality relationships with their local PGA professionals and John Watson and the unanimous opinion was that they hoped that there would be a Level II for the north east in 2009.
For anyone who is keen to work in the group to continue to expand relationship and promote further educational possibilites in the Manchester area then you should look to speak with John Watson email John - the TGA Team would like to make a special thank you to all those who attended and particularly the following: Amanda, Angie, Charlotte, Caroline, Stewart, Tony and Katie for their assistance in making the weekend a success.
Good luck to all those who attended the seminar and it was great to visit John's workplace at Styal Driving Range and Golf Club - where are good friend and PGA Professional Mark Johnston teaches and the home of the winner of last year's European Challenge Tour, David Horsey - a good friend of The Golf Athlete and Total Golf Analysis teams.
